Chasdei Yosef is advertising the new courses available this semester at our professional training center for women – Tiferes Yehudis Chana, open to wives of Kollel students and mothers of large families.

We offer a wide range of study options, with scholarships available to those who qualify.

Holiday Assistance!
Sep 18, 2011

Another tradition that we continue to uphold is the distribution of food vouchers to needy families and individuals.

As every year, hundreds of families received vouchers to purchase food products for Succos. Most of the year, these families are in despair over their dire financial straits, or unfortunately, health issues. However, before the holiday, they are granted the opportunity to purchase all the basic products they need to enhance their holiday table.

TALTAL Succos Party for Children-at-Risk
Sep 17, 2011

On Succos, we held a party for 150 needy children, among them, those who belong to Chasdei Yosef’s TALTAL club throughout the year. The children enjoyed a captivating magic show, which kept them enthralled.

After the show, each boy received a gift of a board game, while the girls received a doll and a carriage. Their brilliant smiles were worth their weight in gold.

Distribution of Heaters and Blankets
Sep 16, 2011

At the end of the festive event, each needy person received a warm winter blanket and a heater in anticipation for the upcoming winter.

The recipients emotionally thanked us and went home with their arms full and with the knowledge that this winter, they will stay warm, thanks to Chasdei Yosef.

Succos Party at the Soup Kitchen
Sep 15, 2011

On Succos 5752, Chasdei Yosef held its traditional party in the huge succah that was erected for the visitors to the soup kitchen.

The party was enhanced by live music and a delectable menu. For our visitors, this was an opportunity to truly feel the joy of the chag together with the rest of Klal Yisrael.

"I Want a Day Camp Just So I Can Have Some Breakfast”
Jul 03, 2011

The above quote was not meant to be a teaser or a good line to pique your interest. It was actually said by one of the young girls who participates in our afternoon program for children-at-risk “TALTAL”.

As unbelievable as it sounds, in the year 2011 there are still children in Israel who are hungry for breakfast!

We hear comments like these throughout the year at TALTAL.

This year we will again be opening a day camp for the young girls who are belong to TALTAL, and bring smiles to these innocent children who are far too familiar with the darker sides of childhood.

The 4 week long day camp will be full of exciting activities like swimming, trips, trampolines, arts and crafts alongside a full educational enrichment program individually suited to each child to prepare them for the upcoming school year. One of the most important components of course is a healthy breakfast, ensuring nutritional security throughout the weeks of the day camp.

Wishing everyone a healthy and happy summer!

Shlomo Wissotzky and a Chasdei Yosef Volunteer

Chasdei Yosef is grateful to have been the fortunate recipient of artist Shlomo Wissotzky's personal collection of unique paintings.

Mr. Wissotzky was born in the early 1900's in the city of Zdunska Wola, Poland. He survived the terrors of the Holocaust, made Aliya after the war and settled in Kibbutz Tel Yitzchak, and later in Netanya.

The collection of paintings depicts life in the Jewish village before the war, as remembered by Mr. Wissotzky.

Shlomo Wissotzky is a generous contributor to Chasdei Yosef, and recently had a dream that he donated his artistic works to our organization.
